I've seems some red SSPs, are there other styles out there? I'd like to get my hands on a red one, been looking for a few months, but haven't seen one for sale. Are these rare to find, or am I just in a bad Weber area? Lol

Be patient, make some WKC connections, and you'll eventually find one. Until then, here's some knowledge:
http://weberkettleclub.com/grills/weber-performer-history/
It would help to know where you're located, either in your profile or an introductory post.
Good luck with the hunt.

Red only came in the SSP style. However, if you like the newer style carts, the bowls are interchangeable. Red Performers/bowls aren't easy to come by, especially in grate condition. A little patience & luck is required.
This is my idea of the perfect Performer:

Cool. Thanks guys, so it seems they are certainly limited, but not as bad as I thought. I will keep an eye out, certainly one will pop up eventually. I am in eastern NC, Morehead City to be exact. A small little town on the coast, a couple hours northeast of Wilmington.
Sweet Performer Mod there
@brewtownbeatdown My hat's off to you sir!

If you're desperate enough, just pick up a red LE and slap it on any performer frame that you want.

You have to drill holes for the bowl brackets and also for the gas assist. You also have to cut the handle and conceal it. (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180718/83066dcec0a64a51873d32f340d6eceb.jpg)

Those are embossed 16 gauge stainless sheets. Should be available at your local metal stores. The panels are mounted the same as the original panel.
@brewtownbeatdown that red mist performer is sweet but I really think you should ditch the nylon handle and dress it up with some Zav wood.
@Jules V., where did you source the brackets from?
Just look at all your local marketplaces a lot they come up. I have a non gas and a gas. Good luck on the search!!(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180719/8ad5553b932f04d56b1d7b5da1c4f693.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180719/15fc94bdaab9f431dc0db9fe7b032dcc.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180719/aa0ceb765e67bae952ae99e5743ba2bf.jpg)

Check with @qwesthunter if he has anything available.
Apparently I just learned that the non gas assist SSP's frames do not have swivel casters? I've got one that I mounted my WSM on. The bowl had been swapped out, but it did have the charcoal bin, lp tank bracket and valve cover. I never gave it much thought until someone on Facebook was looking for info on one.
What's under the lid of the non gassers???

This black metal shelf-thingy (the piece below the charcoal bin in the pic). It drops right into where the lp tank, etc go on the gas assist model. On the schematics, it is the elusive part number 39.

I've thought about doing one of these. I have a Red SSP and a black 2007 Performer with the upgraded table.
