Title: DaWeber Highboy project
Post by: bluewhisper on June 17, 2018, 12:07:59 PM
I've made a lowboy version with 11" legs and that was fun, but it left me wondering about that 3/4-inch conduit in 120-inch lengths. 120 is divisible by 3, hm? That would make three legs of 40 inches each. What could possibly happen?

With this setup, the rim is 43 inches above the ground.

I teased a local fishing discussion board, how about setting this up in about 30 inches of water as a free-standing grill you could paddle up to?

You have to mod the triangle quite a bit for support tho.

Obviously the next step is to motorize it like a bar stool.

stock triangle will still work the same way if you put it stock distance below the kettle.....might not be as much support though.

Yeah the longer legs = more leverage and stress on the leg sockets.  I'll be careful.

Still, I think it's funny. StratoKettleā„¢

When I tried longer legs on my Performer, leg sockets were exposed to more stress, I didn't do this yet,  but to minimize the stress on the sockets, I was going to drill holes through each leg and run a steel wires to form triangle at 3 different levels.
