I have a 26" Weber and the only negative thing I can think of is why do they have the handles on the same side as the flip up grates on the grill. When I cook indirect and want to remove the grate while the coals are hot I have to handle it right over the hot coals. Anyone know if there is a reason why they have the handles at the same location as the flip up grates.
Guessing it provides a bit more cooking space if the handles are less likely to be where food is. Dunno.
Easier to grab on table-mounted kettles.... at least when it's not hot. I removed the handles on some of my grates and installed a u- bolt handle away from the opening.

Can be stacked crosswise when grilling very small items.
That's a grate question.

By gosh that handle modification will work and thanks for the idea.
