So was at work monday and i get a text from @heyjude with a link to a redhead in concord for 10 bucks. Message the guy and he still has it, awesome. Right up the street from my work so we meet up and its now mine. Walking to my car i look at the vent and immidiatly get excited, its and H. My birth year 1986. Load her up and home we go.
I work till dark so it sat on the side yard till today.
Got my coffee, tools and went to town. Sweeps were long gone, charcoal grate is like 2 mm this due to rust eating it and the the charcoal grate is in the usual condition. The ash pan was mangled so i cleaned the twist on i had and used that
BUT, it cleaned up pretty damn well i do say.
Its rough around the edges but its red and my birth year so its going to hang around until i can upgrade.

Was that ash pan original? I got an h code with no ash pan, but it had clips on the legs like the newer ots.

i also have a red h code , it came with a rolled edge twist on , no deep scratches on legs , maybe the legs were replaced on one point on mine . ( unfortunatly previous owner 's son used the pan inside the bowl as makeshift sweeps and melted one corner ) .
