On my way home from Santa Barbara I stopped at Phils Fish Market in Moss Landing and picked up some fresh seafood. When I got to Capitola I set up the SJ and started grilling.
First I grilled some fresh caught king salmon.

The next morning we had chorizo and eggs in the paella pan with grilled tortillas.

The next day at the beach I saw this loaded smokey joe. :o

Later that day I made lobster tails and fresh corvina. Corvina is a family favorite. It's one of the best tasting fish I know of.

Then there was this cool Cuda I just had to snap a picture of.

Looks like a great day was had man!
How were the fresh prices at Phils? I've only eaten there, but never checked out the fresh prices.
Thanks again, Smooth the fresh prices were good considering the salmon was fresh local king and krill red is what I look for. It was 22 a pound, but the farmed can't hold a candle to it. Besides it supports the locals like you who go out and catch it. I appreciate when the buyers are willing to pay a reasonable price. The equipment and gas isn't cheap. I'm guessing Phil is a reasonable guy since the place had a line out the door. When I started going there it was just the seafood market area and they did a little cooking, not nearly like today. The corvina was 16 and well worth it. I love corvina and buy it whenever I see it. I like halibut, but think it's a lot better and defiinitly a firmer fish.
Looks really good! Can't wait to try my new pan out! :D

Don't you need to share with the rest of the class? There might some other folks who'd like to read your paella pan tips, especially about their use with Webers.

Thanks again! I will give some paella pan tip later. I like them better than woks on the kettle.
