Has anyone ever used this for smoking? It has to be well seasoned, and has a very dense texture. Wonderful mild flavor with pork and chicken... the aroma is awesome! I was lucky enough to get some from a friend out in California... he has a bunch of olive trees on his property. It's impossible to find in my part of the woods... I'm glad I went out there for a visit. I fell in love with the stuff. He shipped me a box of it soon after my return home.
If you can get it in your area, give it a shot! :)
When ever I have lamb it's my go to wood.

I've never tried the wood, but I did try some briquettes made from olive pits.
