Thought it was interesting that Weber used some sort of stacker ring in a 1955 demo.
Didn't know if such a thing is shown elsewhere on here anywhere, but even it was, thought those who haven't seen it might enjoy it.
I went to school with one of the kids of the guy on the right.

That's a neat piece of history.

very cool ,love stuff like that .
Thanks for sharing.
It looks like they are putting on a demonstration inside of the building... oh how things have changed.
That was the first thing I thought when I saw the picture, "they are cooking inside"
The copy even says "Barbecue odor and the smell of hickory attracted lots of customers as it floated through the FIFTH FLOOR housewares department at Boston Store, Milwaukee..." (capitalized emphasis added).
I found this rather startling.

In a big store the monoxide release probably wouldn't get to dangerous levels. Still pretty funny though. Lol the smoke that would be floating around would have been interesting to see.

I guess that's the advantage of not having a sprinkler system in place in 1955.

NICE ONE!
@WildonionAB I hadn't thought about that. But, since it was 1955 & the building was probably older, it may have had windows that opened & perhaps they had not even put air conditioning in the building yet.
Although, I suppose you wouldn't want people tossing stuff out the windows to their cohorts below.....so....
