Amazing gift. I have been involved in a lot of forums, and I must say, this one is absolutely the best. It's unbelievable how generous complete strangers are to each other on here. There is never any bashing, flaming, or anything negative at all. No drama. I love it.

That really sucks! Luckily I work from home and my office window overlooks the front yard. I have to be careful not to rip the door open as packages are being dropped off so I don't scare the shit out of the delivery person. Might actually have to try that with my mail lady who walks across my year through the neighbor's yard to their door when I am trying to grow grass! Sorry to hear that happened though Gummi!

Just received my Secret Santa gifts today. I love them. I got a rib rack which you can never go wrong with, a Weber seasoning, some bamboo skewers, and a Weber mini I-Grill. I've always wondered about these things. I opened it up and tried it out. What a cool little device!! This is something that I'm gonna keep up at our little cabin for those long, slow, and lazy cooks!

Also, just a heads up, shipping beer can can get you in trouble thru USPS...it's kind of illegal actually. FedEx or ups is safer, but even then they might throw out the whole thing if found since it's against policies and probably illegal as well. I know from experience. Silly Grinches at BATF.

You're welcome! I love mine. Read the directions! It clearly says to either us it with the removable grate on or off and not to switch it around while hot. I of course don't follow directions and have learned to get it on or off with tongs, it just takes a little practice. It's good to have some good gloves handy in case tongs don't cut it. It's a hell of a grate and I've put it through its paces so far with no complaints. It cleans up really well.

Got mine this afternoon, but was a busy day at the hotel. For a guy that's "Not very versed in knives." Damascus... really!? And a ton of hot sauce. I hope you reveal yourself. The knife is way out of my norm, and will continue to expand my collection. The wood and damascus reflects my beloved Shuns, but contrasts all my pocket knives. Can't stop looking at it. Beautiful! Not Directly related to Secret Santa, but a few years ago when I participating in my first WKC Secret Santa I got @weldboy and we have been good friends ever since. His wife actually contacted me a month or so ago about dual probe thermometers and I steered her to the Smoke. She got Mike the smoke as well as the gateway for a birthday present. Thermoworks has been have good sales so I sent him a case, probe extensions and a handful of probes for his bday/Xmas gift. A couple of days ago a box arrived from him. One hell of a Xmas present!!!! The friendships that this forum leads to are something to behold!

My awesome Secret Santa set me up with a variety of Kinder's sauces, rubs and spices. I'm new to rubs, so I'm anxious to try them. Also included was the Franklin BBQ smoking book, wood chunks and home smoked ghost peppers. As if that wasn't enough, there was also a set of what I assume are Zav KOA handles, which will look great on my new LE red. Thanks Santa! Very generous. I love it all and it will all get used. Oh, I also found a WKC sticker in the book pages. Nice!

I got busy and distracted and missed the cutoff so I had to cheat and be my own SS this year. Stopped by Village hardware in Alexandria VA the other day, descended into the magical basement where all the cool Weber stuff lives, and gifted myself with some cool items. Yes, there are come vintage accessories lurking under piles of new stuff if you crawl around a little. Picked up a NIFB (new in faded box) "Lunette" light, an oh-so-handy out-of-production compact chimney (they had several more), some rubs and sauce I've been meaning to try, even a free 2018 grilling calendar. I had to make three rounds in the Weber room to be sure I had seen it all, and I bet I still missed stuff. Next year I'll remind myself to get back in the game, and my sleigh will make it's first stop at Village Hardware.

I forgot to put in a card with a little backstory, I too wanted a cookie cutter after seeing the set that someone here got on ebay, after searching I found the one I gifted you, along with the other one, its supposed to be a beer bottle. The little wooden scraper is an ash scraper, genius I thought. The sweet heat toppers are from the business I work at here in Cambria, they are good for a finishing glaze on meat or fish, some people put it in cream cheese, a block of brie and I had 1 lady tell me she puts the Olallie on ice cream... they have a bite but not too hot. Personally, I think they make a spoon taste good. yummy stuff! Glad you liked everything, the funnest part was ordering 2 of each scraper, 2 injectors and a few of the cookie cutters, cause I wanted all of them too...LOL MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!

Little late to the party. Sorry for that, lol. There was a box sitting in the living room for well over a week now. When I asked my wife she thought it was something she ordered So i didn't go any further. Well, I got home last night from work and it was open with a chimney starter hanging out the top. I asked her today about it and she says That it's not from her! So, when I looked through I saw the Secret Santa. Surprise!
I wasn't expecting anything since I had gotten a message from Jeff Boldtz saying the SS thought it had been stolen and I said not to worry about it. I guess it was delivered and just placed in with all our stuff. So anyways, Thankyou for the bbq dragon starter, starter squares and the grill brush and my apologies for taking so long to share, lol!

@Shoestringshop, I hope you enjoy your beers, hot sauces, and wood scraper. I apologize for goofing up the C in WKC. CaJohns is a local hot sauce creator and I enjoy their products. I havent tried the rubs, so let me know how they are. The Tiki Bar and the bourbon/chipotle/vanilla hot sauce are my two favorites from this shop. I like dipping smoked or spatchcocked chicken into the bourbon BSV sauce. You dont need much with either of the sauces. I realize that I kind of took a chance with the spicy items and if you aren't a hothead, I apologize and will send some other items.
The beers are two of my favorite local IPAs. Enjoy.

This is my first year participating in the SS gift exchange on the forum and I must say that it has been a fun experience. I enjoyed giving a gift, loved getting my gifts, and constantly intrigued by what others were getting and seeing their photos. Thanks for the kind words, this type of thing really differentiates this group of guys from other forums. We have a LOT of really good people here. I am always nervous doing this, we have had a couple of folks not send gifts in the past and it was not comfortable for anyone. So far I think we are in good shape with everyone coming through. I know a few have reached out wondering but we have been able to track down their Santa and all is good, some of us are more busy than others so it happens.
I look forward to further reveals, if you don't want to post here it would be cool if you reached out directly to you Santa to let them know that everything arrived. If you don't know who your guy is, reach out to myself or Bob BQ (whomever sent you the PM) and we can tell you.

Nice! That patch truly qualifies as limited edition! I don't even have one myself, but I had those made in the early WKC days at a 100+ year old company in Chicago. That led to a very interesting Weber history lesson from someone who was there near the beginning. I'll have to tell that story someday.

We like Tervis cups in my house. No need for coasters, keeps the drink cold and different designs. I like the WKC patch Tervis idea a lot.

I too received my secret Santa today! Thank you Mike from Grand Bend in Canada! Everything is great and things I need...especially the maple syrup! We'll be having big breakfast Xmas eve morning and that will be front and center. The wooden Weber logo is sweet and a beaver rub just has to be good ;)>...Merry Christmas!

People here in Chicago are very loyal to that Chicago flag, but I know the people of Maryland love their flag just as much. I was just hoping @Downthehatch was a fan of the flag. All the wood is natural colors, no stain involved, just natural colors. I have to thank @Bob BQ for the Osage Orange, it was the spark that started this whole project.
I can't believe how great all the gifts everyone gave, it's really what the fiber of what this group is made of......I'll post my Secret Santa stuff tomorrow, I need to take some pics......

Nice! That patch truly qualifies as limited edition! I don't even have one myself, but I had those made in the early WKC days at a 100+ year old company in Chicago. That led to a very interesting Weber history lesson from someone who was there near the beginning. I'll have to tell that story someday.

2of2 arrived today from my S/S. The first gift showed up a little bit ago, then Drew (db3694) informed me that a SECOND package was coming!!
The Vortex that showed up originally was more than enough. Thank You Drew!!!!
I was a little bummed that #2 was delayed in delivery ( no fault of Drew's), the UPS trailer missed a drop off somewhere, so then I checked the UPS site and it says it will be delivered on the 26th.....bummer....
But then today, ...... WOOOOOHOOOO, it shows up! Now I'm stoked. I started opening it up and the gifts kept coming.
