Thanks to member
@coffeeld I'm now the owner of a NIB Weber 7413 side table. I saw it near his area on OfferUP and pinged him. Next thing I know he is sending it to me and won't accept payment. Just says return the favor someday/pay it forward. Again, another example of how fine this club and the members are. Although
@coffeeld isn't very active here he's got a cool collection and is a great grillfella. Thanks again bud!
Now here's my question. I've read where guys use 303 Aerospace Protectant on plastics with great results. Should I source some of that and treat the unused table? Do you have to reapply the protectant every grilling season? If I use the 303 should I remember to throw away any foods that come in contact with the table surface?
Nice gesture by coffeeld.
The 7413 side table is fantastic! I like how it tapers towards the bowl. Don't know why it was discontinued. ???
I mainly use mine with the 18" OTG ... very handy. Also serves as a great template for a custom wood side table. :D
Great job!!
I believe applying 303 Protectant will extend the life of the plastic/composite table, by giving it UV protection. Once you apply it, let it sit for a day and then buff the table with a clean towel. I don't believe you should have any concerns on food touching the table that has been treated with 303. Here is a descriptive quote from a listing of 303 Protectant on Amazon.
"Rinse-free formula leaves a non-greasy, dry matte finish with no odor and is non toxic and water based. 100% free of grease-producing silicone oils and petroleum distillates."
