Finished restoring my last couple of 18's that have been sitting patiently waiting for attention.
NOS legs and triangle used on this lime.

Next up was the red 18". It was in really nice shape and just needed a little polishing of the legs and triangle.

The rest of the 18's in this family photo were restored over the course of the last year.

Dragged all (well almost all) of my 18's out for a family photo. My question is, am I missing any colors that were produced in 18" MBH's? For now the part of the green MBH 18" is played by a green three wood. Anyone have a 18" green MBH they would like to part with? A guy can hope.

Thanks to the following members who all had a hand in helping me put this collection together.
@captjoe06 - NOS legs and triangle
@dwnthehatch - red MBH
@Dtrouty - lime MBH
@Jeff &
@Bertl - reproduction ash pans used on two kettles
@Scott Zee - ash pan for the blue MBH
That is a brilliant display. Congratulations on such a neat set of 18s.
It might just the photo or my browser, but the red and the blue have really deep colors.
Beautiful. I love the 18s. You have an awesome collection, and the Custom is a great topper!
You need an avocado to complete the collection....

Opining about what grill someone should look for next seems odd to me, but I am wondering if a non-faded black might actually be the hardest to find today.
Beautiful collection!

That's a beautiful collection, congratulations. I am also working on a complete 18 mbh collection and have a ways to go. A brownie, lime, and blue are on my short list. Oh yeah, a custom too! 8)

Those are so sexy!!!
I'm a little confused on the MBH kettles. These kettles you have shown are all 18" and have flat metal handles that could possibly just be missing the wood parts of the handle? I have a 22" brownie that has rounded style handles on the bowl and a riveted on wood handle on the lid. Or maybe the 18's were flat and the 22's round? TIA.
@ButtevilleBBQer - I was confused about the 18" bowl handles when I first joined the WKC also. You are correct in that the 18" bowl handles look like flat strap lid handles. The difference is there are no holes drilled in the bowl handle for the rivets of the wood handles and the lid handles are 4 1/4" wide where as the bowl handles are 3 1/2" wide. And yes, the 22" bowl handles are rounded.
You can see this difference between the bowl handle and the lid handle in the photos below.
Compare the bowl handle on this lime

to the lid handle on the cado posted by foshizzle. See the difference?
