Every day that goes by I feel just a little more guilty that I haven't divulged my recent acquisitions and shared the kindness of other WKC'ers associated with those scores. Here we go.
Big thank you to @tspin818 for offering up several of his kettles to the club. I was the first to inquire on his 18" Lime and condiment rack. Thomas was super accommodating, holding the grill for a couple weeks while I was on vacation. When the package arrived several weeks later, he threw in a new two-rivet handle, AND this green SJ!! He couldn't bare to separate the lime 18" and SJ and wanted to re-home them together. I promise they will never be separated, Tspin818, thanks!(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170721/02c705a31b4e32a3da66c55a78564551.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170721/149244dc70d08da74cdbc8177fc0db69.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170721/b350ec3dc7a67e91b280e012e88177d1.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170721/28f6342e44e1f4547904ba73f19c172a.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170721/4b8c227503ca7ce6d894d94b5b42a3bc.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170721/d4287bd2b56e845158ff3b2b4251ce17.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170721/6f1bb6236cc6a55fd93403f4e1148e69.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170721/367282ac62497b46de3475c3e8799db7.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170721/04254fc6cb6e319fc18376a0804ddda3.jpg)
I watched all those recent meet-up events from the sidelines and I wish I could have attended one of them. Thank you to everyone who shared photos of these incredible events for those of us who couldn't attend. I kinda/sorta got in on the action when @mcgolden posted possible items for trade at the Chicago meet-up. He offered up a shish ring in excellent condition with its original box. A trade was agreed upon and both items from both parties were in the mail the same day; probably the most expeditious exchange I've ever made. He went way above and beyond while packaging the original box. Thank you again.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170721/023d061479252997a9f6c30d8c08ba5b.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170721/adbe33c8e4f84b3f6a569a097831c9c8.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170721/d49d97a1857714a8a3cd410cf2ee883f.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170721/949ba2ff5523de2a45a43c5830753794.jpg)
This "C" code SJ was up for sale by @crumbsnatcher and he was gracious enough to offer up some wiggle room on the sale price. So a deal was made and this '81 made its way down to Florida. Eventually this will be gifted to my friend as his birthyear grill. I've been watching his Weberitis develop ever since I gifted him a kettle, so I know he is going to love this! Thank you, @crumbsnatcher.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170721/80c0cdc518090588a8635b9a767b3434.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170721/6759b8200f9e56bce5316ae5a99f74ca.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170721/de0f19dc68725d453e7a12a2aab1ebd1.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170721/c46aabf9f08229862aaa0bb7f95dd884.jpg)
I've had some members reach out to find and make them midgets. This "O" code 18" OTS was from our former friend Smokin Performer who listed a complete grill on eBay for $150 but it never sold. He then offered it to the WKC for $50, but just the bowl and lid. I snagged it knowing I had plenty of spare parts. Say what you will about the guy, he did throw in an original box of 100/100 condition while packing this kettle. Thanks, Smokin Performer, wherever you are. I'll be sad to see it go... so to fill that empty hole in my heart, I found a rockin red "K" for myself and made another 22" midget to match the blue.

A couple months ago I started hunting for a Happy Cooker internal ash pan. I'd heard so many great things about the IAP and wanted to experience one for myself. Well, wouldn't you know the WKC came through not just once, but twice!
Thank you to @Bob BQ for sending me an IAP. I was very happy... until he informed me there's an 18"IAP out there some where.

Great, now I gotta find one of those too, since, you know, 18's are my jam.
Fellow Floridian, @Chiku18, came through (again) with not only another IAP, but a new ash scoop too!!
I gotta tell you guys with the three-wheelers, try and find yourself an IAP and an ash shovel. It's truly a winning combination. I've only used it a handful of times, but I can already say cleanup is so ridiculously easy, it makes the one-touch system look stupid. If I can find the right vendor, I'd make reproductions of these IAPs.
Chiku is also letting me test-drive a CnT ring until we meet up again next month. Another dang accessory that should be brought back by Weber.
Thanks, guys!

Making connections with other grillfellas across this great country of ours has been an extremely rewarding and enriching experience. I encourage everyone here to reach out to one another and help in whatever way you can; even seemingly small acts of kindness have positive ripple effects throughout our Kettle-Kommunity.
Big thank you to @TD15 who reached out with interest for my set of unused 18" Craycorts. I was able to trade for an item that another WKC'er was looking for. I was really happy to see the Craycorts go to a good home instead of collecting dust in my garage, and I'm looking forward to gifting the exchanged item to another grillfella who has selflessly helped me in so many ways.
But the trading didn't stop there. TD15 and I continued to chat and we came up with a second trade which I'll share here. I'm really loving this work table and imagine what a pleasant surprise it was to see it fits the Fleetwood perfectly. Thank you, Tim. I'm looking forward to seeing your project come to fruition.

An underlying tenet of the WKC, sometimes barely perceivable but ever-present, is the sentiment of "paying it forward". It wasn't long ago as a super NOOB, I was looking for a set of three ash clips. Unaware of the existence of ereplacements.com, or the virtues of buying cheap kettles for parts, I jumped into this site to ask if I could buy these clips from someone here:
WTB three clips for ash catcher pan
http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/index.php?topic=25635
I had no prior interaction with @Jon (or anyone really), but he generously sent a pack of brand new ash clips; his asking price - simply "pay it forward". This was my first encounter with Kettle Karma, and I can definitively say it's this attitude of kindness & Kommunity that has kept me around. In a sense, @Jon's generosity was my gateway into Weberitis, and although I never publicly thanked him, I've never forgotten that small gesture. Thank you, @Jon.
Just a year later, I continue to be the recipient of members' unfathomable generosity and I'm still surprised by the eagerness of those members who look out for one another and who, almost presciently, offer their help.
Such was the case with @JEBIV, who saw that I reached out to another WKC'er to buy a roti ring, and took it upon himself to box and ship this gloriously faded original roti ring. I love it so much and it's the perfect addition to my ongoing performer project. Thank you, JEBIV, you're a pillar of our Kettle Kommunity, and I promise I'll continue to pay it forward.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170907/706e005991a7753092963f2e3d2bbfdf.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170907/88bbc18c614fd5376a554e61a4673e37.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170907/8a99ec2339adf6ecb5a10b18fcb6098f.jpg)

I received a mystery package last night with a couple rubs I've never tried. I knew I hadn't ordered anything, so I immediately started racking my brain trying to figure out who sent this. It took awhile, but I finally figured out Mike In Roseville sent these to me for a little inspiration. Thank you, Mike... I'm slowly getting my mojo working again and these will definitely be incorporated into my Super Bowl cook this weekend.

Although it's been awhile since I've updated this post, that doesn't mean I'm any less appreciative of, or inspired by, all the good deeds going on behind the scenes.
A few months ago, I started searching for a vintage rotisserie to complete my loweRED SSP build. Lowbrass kindly offered to trade his vintage roti setup and we struck a deal. The logistics were kind of crazy; I boxed up Lowbrass' item and handed off to Chiku18 who then shipped to JEBIV to bring to the Chicago meet up to exchange for the roti.
But it didn't stop there...
... Lowbrass and I came to another agreement and before long I had to ask JEBIV for another huge favor, to bring back a Ranger!
Last weekend we finally made the trip up to ATL to pick up the vintage roti, the Ranger, and a set of wire SJ legs from Brewtownbeatdown. (Another kettle made its way down to FL, but I'll let that member post if they so choose)
Huge thank you to Lowbrass, JEBIV, and Chiku18 for helping me acquire my holy grail. Joe even threw in a pack of vintage lighter cubes! I'm forever indebted to your kindness.
I previously mentioned a set of wire SJ legs which I had been searching for on behalf of a local Weber enthusiast who found a speckled offset handle SJ at an estate sale, but unfortunately didn't come with any legs. She reached out to me for help getting her little SJ on its feet again and thanks to Brewtownbeatdown, I'll have the pleasure of dropping off the wire legs this weekend. Although they aren't period-correct, I know she's extremely appreciative and hopefully she'll join the fun here at WKC.
The story doesn't end there...
Coincidentally, Chiku18 spotted ANOTHER speckled offset SJ in a box and not only alerted me, he went above and beyond by securing it and having it shipped to me directly! It's like having my own Kettle Koncierge!
Thank you Brewtownbeatdown and Chiku18; they may seem like isolated incidents, but we all know kettle karma is real!

When it rains, it pours.
Such was the case when Mcgolden reached out to see if I had any interest in his NIB 18" shish set. I'll admit, I was still rebounding from the Ranger purchase, but I just couldn't refuse 1) a vintage accessory, 2) a vintage accessory made for the 18's, 3) a vintage accessory made for the 18's NEW IN BOX!
Thank you, Mcgolden, I really appreciate it!

And to think..
I have seen that Ranger in Person! It was in my back yard for the inaugural Meat Up in STL!! I actually had the pleasure of wheeling it in!! I truly enjoyed witnessing
@Lowbrass almost come to tears as his bacon wrapped smokies were a cookin' on the Ranger!!
Man... Good times.. good times....

Congrats on the Grate scores Charlie. Worked hard, everyone did, on that one.
Kettle Karma to all!
I recognize those leaves on the driveway, sorry we weren't home to visit for a bit
Not gonna lie...I miss the ranger...however I also know it is at a great new home! I love seeing it with your collection Charlie!

I received a mystery package from Weber Haven, FL over the weekend; when I opened it, I was really surprised and excited to find one of Rub's 18" wooden Weber discs inside! Sweet!
But.... I didn't order one because I already have the 22" version, generously gifted by Rub at last year's meat-up. So, I figured Rub must've just made a simple mistake, probably while crushing the competition on the BBQ circuit.
So I text Rub and ask "yo, w'sup wit dat?" (paraphrasing), and he responds that it's a gift from captjoe06!
Captain Joe, THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH! Your random act of kindness is just another example of the generosity that's pervasive throughout this club. You're an amazing Grillfella, and thank you for being a friend.
