Hey guys. To keep shirt costs down, I'm considering only doing 1 color t-shirt --- black.
Would anyone NOT buy a shirt if a black shirt was the ONLY option?
I like the black ones...but black gets hot in the summer, and white gets dirty easy too. Other color options would be good, but its more important to get the shirts rollin out in my opinion.

I'm with Jeff, while I prefer white, black will do for now. Will we at least have options on the logo color? I think an avacado logo on a black shirt would like pretty nice and match Jeffs new grill. 8)
I love white, but they pit....and its pretty sexy. :o Any color is fine. I'd love to show my WKC pride.

If there was an option I would order black. I bet Buckie wants tie dye.

the grill in the logo on the shirt will be red for the first batch
color options increase cost and make ordering a pain in the ass.
I plan to do a 2nd shirt (limited edition) later in the year, and that one will have your avocado ;)

Seriously, I know Marty isn't a fan of cafepress, but they seem like they give the options and are easy to deal with.
Black so it can turn to gray after several washes....real Weber like.

We're not using cafepress.
They are way overpriced and their products are shitty.
Our shirts will be high quality printing on high quality material.

i believe they can be available up to 5x!!
No mention of our website anywhere?
I'm in for 2-3
I discussed that with my wife.
We think it will be ok without. Anyone interested would likely Google it anyways right?
I'm in for 2 to start with. That turned out nice!
Agree Troy - we don't want anyone as a member who can't look up "Weber Kettle Club" and not find us. ;)
Looks great, I'm in.

I'd take a shirt! Black looks good.
Alright. thanks guys!
I'm going to put up a quick paypal form today to get things rolling.
I'll take two, please! I don't have or want Paypal (been there done that) Check or money order?
Ron, you can send me a check I guess. Or just use paypal without signing up for an account (you can do that and just use your credit card)
Also, T-SHIRT PAGE IS UP! (http://weberkettleclub.com/wkc-t-shirts/) (days later, sorry. had a wicked cold)
Did I miss the price somewhere?
oops.
fixed.
i'm a bit slow today :(
Hey Troy,
I just bought a shirt and it redirected me to dazzle fish. I couldn't read the page on my iPhone (flash?). Just want to make sure my order is all set because I could see a login/password box on the page. I did get a Paypal confirmation email so I'm guess I'm all set? Thanks!
James
AhHH!! Everything tracked.
I just need to update the thank you page.
Dazzlefish is my registered business name and is associated to my paypal - although I no longer do business as dazzlefish.

Cool! I can't wait for the shirt! It will smell like bbq as soon as I get it! Thanks Troy!
If you want I can make them smell like BBQ before I ship =D
Thanks for ordering!
I fixed the thank you page so it should come back to a WKC page.
Troy, do you happen to know if this brand of shirts run snug or are they fuller cut?
They don't run snug, at least the size I wear doesn't. (XXXL)
Thanks, will be ordering ASAP!

Just ease back on the bbq and it'll fit. ;)
My same question too. I like to wear an XL shirt typically...but want to make sure they don't run too big. Also, my wife would like one. Medium will probably do...but is Small available just in case? Didn't see it as an option.
small is available too, i just didn't add it. I will.
the shirts don't run big either. they just don't run 'snug'
Hey Troy, i want to buy a couple shirts, but there is no where to put quantity. do I just go through the process for as many shirts I want?
Kind of what I'm thinking...
Ken
very cool Troy, I just ordered 2. Now...wait, wait, wait, wait..........lol....Thanks for all you do Troy !
Ken
Just ordered mine. Thanks. 8)
Ordered mine last night. Hoping I'm more 2xl than 3xl. ;)
I ordered one to see how it fits. Many more to come!!!
Thanks Troy and all who worked on this project!
I ordered mine a few days ago and can't wait to get them.
Thanks for all the orders so far!
To be clear, I'm not printing the shirts until I have the minimum number of shirts on the list. We're almost there though.
I'm going to give it one more week before placing the order, so everyone who wants in should do it soon!!
golly and hogsy want 1 each but how about postage ?
i emailed and PM you Troy
please reply

Just wondering what it would cost to ship to Canada? Thanks. :)
Really need to get an order in
But STILL waiting for postage :'(
Please address this issue as us Aussies are hangin to order some shirts ASAP
Working on it, will get you your shipping quote tonight.
Thanks for the excitement!
Have they gone out yet?
No. They've been ordered though. I ordered several extras of the popular sizes - so people that didn't order before I placed the printing order will still get a shirt.
It will take about 10 days from the time the actual blank shirts arrive to get them printed, packed, and shipped.
just paid for golly and hogsy
cant wait to get
thanks troy
The shirts are in the mail (minus the two to australia and the one to canada).
They should be arriving this week.

Did my recent purchase make it on the list of shirts shipped or was I too late Troy?
Technically too late.
The way the first batch of shirts worked:
- i figured out the costs
- i made it possible for everyone to order and pay me
- when i had enough orders placed (30), I ordered the actual shirts
- shirts get done, I ship them out
Unfortunately this means that the first people that ordered there shirts have waited 2 months.
It sucks. It was handled poorly. I don't want to do it that way, but right now I don't have a lot of options.
The purpose of the project was to advertise the WKC and to help cover the costs of the site.
If I were to front a bunch of money to maintain an inventory of shirts, it would take considerably longer to actually put money towards the operation of the site AND it would cost me a bunch out of pocket.
Since I don't want my wife to murder me, I opted for the slower method.
At this point, I'm planning on ordering another batch of shirts to cover the orders that have been placed to me AFTER i had already placed the order for shirts.
I'll add 10 or 20 additional shirts to the order (out of pocket) just to speed things up for people.
I"ll change the way the order process works and there will be a visible inventory for all shirts and patches - essentially upgrading the site from a few paypal buttons to more of an ecommerce solution (still utilizing paypal).
However that may take a while, as I'm literally in the process of packing up all my shit and moving across the country.
However there were 2 extras from the first order. I don't recall what size they were.
I THINK yours might be covered and available for immediate shipping.
I can double check tonight I think.
I did the same thing for patches and posters; fronting the cash and hoping my costs would be covered in a reasonable time. So far I'm still underwater on patches, and the posters are at break even - maybe. Troy has a bunch of patches now so please order one or two if you have a shirt on order so he can ship together. Everyone who has ordered a patch (or two) should have them by now. The sooner I'm in the black the sooner WKC can benefit from the "profits". Consider the patches as "limited editions" now, it's unlikely I'll order another batch in the same colors again, and I may have to resort to pre-orders before I front the cash again. FYI - I've given a few away to deserving souls on behalf of the club.
As I'm sure Troy can attest, there's a lot that goes into these side-projects, and plenty of ways we could have done them on the cheap. I hope you would agree that's not our style. We are WKC!

"It sucks. It was handled poorly"
I disagree....it was handled the best way it could be under the current circumstances.....
It's not easy getting something like that up & running, plus the mass-hysteria that the mere possibilty of T-shirts, etc. produced............
The only other way, besides what was mentioned, is what a buddy of mine was able to do by knowing a screen printer well enough.....that was to work with the printer in that he would wait to get paid until the amount a shirts were sold that covered his cost......special circumstance that would not work with any ordinary commercial printer...... :o
He still had to shell out for the T-shirt blanks & wait on that part to get paid back.....
I was lucky on the shirts. A business partner of mine also runs a screenprinting shop, so i got a pretty nice discount.
It certainly wasn't as cheap as I could have gotten - but I really prefer high quality shirts and high quality printing. (and the WKC shirts are fantastic)

Sounds good buddy! Take care of your packing first and then get back to me after. No hurry, I know you'll send it.
Thanks for the update, Troy!
I like my ribs low 'n' slow, so I have no problem waiting for the T.
Hope your move goes well. :D
Oh yeah, I got my shirt!! Thanks Troy its freaking awesome and fits perfect!!
The shirt is nicer than I thought it would be. This isn't one of those give away shirts they shoot out of a cannon at your local sports arena. It fits well and didn't shrink two sizes after washing. The printing is awesome bc it's wkc of course
Troy thanks for handling the whole process. I would've done what u did.
I got mine and it looks awesome! Thanks Troy 8)
The anticipation is killing me :P
Me three-pee-o!
Just got mine! Looks awesome! :D
Thanks for all your hard work, Troy! :) 8)

IMO that was the only reasonable strategy at this point. If you ever build up a cash reserve, you could take orders for more shirts and perhaps stock a few. Much of the work is already done so I presume it would simply be a reorder.
Thanks for putting the effort in to make this happen
and following through with it.
Want to order a few of these but have a question. In the size options what is the difference between the XXL and XXLT?
The T is for tall. I'm 6'3" and it comes in handy for us high-rise types.
was looking forward to wearing mine for christmas in july 8)
looks like i might be lucky to wear it for christmas in december ??? :o ;D
