Title: Ribeyes and Photography: A Learning Experience
Post by: boytcam on June 26, 2017, 04:12:41 PM
I've really been enjoying learning my way around a grill, so I figured I'd document my attempts. I've already made an album formatted to crosspost another forum, so I'll just link it here if that's ok!

Thanks bud. I have a little hobby of taking pictures. Don't have time for edits and post processing, but I enjoy taking a few quick pics these days, and really appreciate the compliment!

Love the shot of asparagus bundles lined up -- pretty maids all in a row!

What kind of camera gear are you using?

Just a Nikon d3200 with the kit lens. I prefer my 50mm prime lens, but it's manual focus and just became too much to juggle.

That's a nice camera. Any DSLR beats the other crap.

My family always laughs at me when I get out the good photo gear to take pictures of what I've cooked. Good cook, good pix, and carry on!

I'm not sure why but I always get triggered when people talk crap about my having so many grills and nerding out on my food by taking pics and such. The ridicule usually comes just after the praise of a wonderful meal cooked entirely over charcoal.

I've got a lot of odd hobbies, so I've just gotten used to it

Great pics and great looking food.   But  you said: you get home at 5:30, and your wife at 5:45.  You got all that prepared and cooking (and got the camera gear) in that 15 minute window?   Good for you!
I'd still be trying to wrap the damn asparagus!

No, I leave for work at 530, she gets home at 545. I work nights and she works days!

Grate looking foodage sir, and nice pics! I also take pics of my food, and get my balls busted quite often... I shoot with a Nikon D7100, and my main lens is a Nikon 24-70mm f2.8. Love it.
