Decided the copper needed a smoke run to break it in. Picnic was on sale so I grabbed one and brought it home.
Sir Stuvland linked me to a 56mpg post for the big basket mod. Since I had brand new baskets I used them to make the one big one. It wasn't full and I got nearly 13 hours out of it. Used the minion method with Apple chips. Fire brick divider and foil as a drip pan. Extremely steady once it normalized. I left home for almost 2 hours when I left it was running 217f at the grate when I got back it was running at 218f.
Sweet ancho honey rub added and I let the fun begin.

Love seeing the Big Bad Basket Case in action. Stavman is quite the promoter! I do picnic cuts most of the time, they seem to go on sale more often, and I like the results. Yours looks perfect.
