Small retro decor shop not far from me has an
18 set in the middle of a black steel mesh cart.
Grill is an A code and some idiot painted the lid,
vent wheel and all.
Lid handle is bent a bit but fixable.
They are asking $105. Cart looks to be in great shape.
Thoughts?

get on that shit
wont take no for an answer
I took a pic and will try to post it in a bit.
Sounds like a Woodard cart made for an 18" Weber.

Hm, 2nd 18" Woodard cart to pop up over the weekend. This looks to be in better shape than the one catskillsmoker found. I dig 'em.

Nice! Original bowl... no leg sockets. Hope you get it!
Shop's not open on Mondays but I left a message for the owners.
Fingers crossed.
I< curious to know if its a single screw and what year..
The vent has an A date code so 1979 IF it's the original lid.
What is a "single screw"?
The lid handle is either held on with 2 rivets or a single screw in the middle.
@YardBurner
That's nicer then what I found.
No kettle, just the cart and they wanted more then what your being offered. Jump on it.
Buy it! Buy it! Buy it!
I am! I am! I am!
They don't open until Wed.
but I contacted the owner
and she is holding it for us.
It's a two rivet.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170614/00b7d6bc0a13f166eccccb17fbb92d4f.jpg)

As you can see they painted the
Lid vent and all. Thankfully
the handle was left alone.
Shouldn't be too hard to remove
that insult.
Can't see it in the pic but it is an "A" date code.
Looks like I pick it up Thursday evening.

Fire it up. Paint razors off a lot easier hot.
That's what I heard.
Then follow up with 000 or 0000 steel wool.
Someone sprung the vent wheel so I may drill out the rivet
and reshape it over a bowling ball.
Picking up tomorrow.
They close before I get off work today.
Finally! It's home.
Family issues caused some timing
snags but it worked out.

The bottom vents are almost perfect.
No damage to the stops at all.
Bottom has no rust at welds.
I got the top vent freed up and it's
very smooth.
Have to address the bent handle
and there is some cancer at the handle welds.
I would love to be able to havevthe cart dipped,
blasted and powder coated
but for now we go old school.
But first, we're gonna do some steaks on it
this weekend!
Great rescue and cool project. Congrats.
