We shall see how long these burn this weekend.

I tried em the other night. I put 14 in the chimney and fired them up. I reverse seared a couple of ribeyes and the worked great. They lasted quite awhile too.

I'd really like to know who is bagging this stuff for Weber.

How were you able to get a sample? I'd surely like to try them, but my Lowes has them at $20 for a 20lb bag. Pretty much every other brand of lump or briquettes is a better QPR.
Weber did a short promotion where they sent free samples to people that signed up. This promotion has ended.

Home Depot carries the sample bag for $4.99. You can try it from there: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Weber-Charcoal-Briquettes-17953/301611401
I just grilled 6 prok chops and 3 steaks. Fired up nicely but the wife said the smell doesn't turn her on. She loves the kingsford smell.
