Anyone ever have someone ask you to cook a steak "Pittsburgh" for them? A quick Google search tells me basically burnt to a crisp on the outside, and purple in the middle. I'm thinking I could just use my weed burner for this lol. Anyway had anyone tried a piece of meat cooked this way and if so, how
was it?

I have used just reg. Weber chimney. Turned out pretty good. I have not tried yet but you can lay it directly on the bed of coal like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5y2voEWJ6U
But my preferred method is by these guys for sear all over. Long video. Go to 15min mark to see how they look. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGjJQQCfqNY&utm_source=Adrenaline+Rush+Newsletter&utm_campaign=0a0c2c203a-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2017_03_04&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_98bec716df-0a0c2c203a-204431773&mc_cid=0a0c2c203a&mc_eid=75f2ab519a
I've heard of it. It's called Pittsburgh black and blue. Cooked about two minutes on each side. Not for me. Med rare is fine.
Thanks everyone
