Title: Sean's pretzel cook.
Post by: HoosierKettle on February 12, 2017, 01:27:41 PM
Still in progress.  Thanks @Travis I would not have learned how to do this without some prompting.

Sounds good. I consolidated a bunch of old charcoal and it's windy so I've been fighting keeping my temps up. It's been cooking 325ish for a half hour. Getting close to a finish pic. I have another batch to put on so I'll probably stoke the fire with some fresh coal to hart temps up. I pulled a sample piece and it tastes great!

No lye!  Looks great.  Rub one or two of them with a stick of butter while they are still warm for a special treat!!!!

Oh yeah, those look awesome and definitely put a touch of butter and sprinkle of salt while warm like Mike said. Those look great!

Yep. No lye. They taste incredible.  The kids are demanding pretzel buns for the next time I make burgers.

Absolutely. I'm shocked that they turned out good. It was the first time I had used the stone since I got it for Christmas. That stone, charcoal rails, and the 26 is a match made in heaven.

Awesome!  You need some whipped butter and hot mustard...and a giant glass of pilsner.
