both my 26's have 2 bowl handles... can't remember the ages though..
I can't speak for the newest models, but there are different models. The Silver or Economy, a Gold which now I think is called premium and the master touch. The economy had one handle in the front of the bowl, a three spoke triangle and a frisbee style ash pan. The premium or gold had two handles, a 6 spoke triangle, lid thermo and the upgraded ash catcher (the bucket). The Master touch deleted a handle to include the lid bail assembly along with the other premium upgrades. I think the Gold and Premium now include the upgraded Gourmet grates...

my 2015 22.5 OKP has two bowl handles.
My DE OTG has 2 bowl handles. I gave my buddy a DD OTS when he bought his house. It had an economy triangle and a single bowl handle.

it's interesting that they would have so many different production lines for different sub catagories.

My guess is Weber has always wanted to maintain a 22" kettle under a $100 for the begining griller. The fun part is that all economy models can be made into true mastertouch's.

Do master touch grills still have a lid hook? That's one thing that's fun about adding a bale to a ots. You can use the bale or hang the lid on the bale to get it out of the way.

Nope no lid hook on the mastertouch grills.

the bail add on will work with an 18 right with a little tweaking?
