I picked up for $20.00 what I believe to be a 10001 - SJ Three Wheeler - Black? Can you guys / gals help me determine the age? I did find the topic http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/weber-kettles-accessories/smokey-joe-model-number-database/msg67956/#msg67956.
Thanks

Is there a letter stamped on the top vent?
searching for 1 18" straight lip twist ash pan.
If there isn't a stamp on the lid vent, I'd say it's a 75-78. It may be an SJ-100 or a 10001. What makes you say it's a 10001?
Here is a post I put together about the model numbers for black SJs.

@Kneab No there is no markings on the top vent.
@Neil_VT00 I Did not know if it was a 10001, it was just a guess based on the link I provided. Now thanks to your link / post I can see exactly what your talking about. Thanks for sharing.
Now on to cleaning it up. Any special tricks on these little guys? I assume same procedure as the bigger guy's?
Glad it was helpful. No special tricks for cleaning up SJs. The only thing that I did different when I restored mine was to soak the legs in evapo-rust.
That's a nice little find. The handle alone is worth the money. Ssshhhh.. Don't tell or everyone will want more for theirs!

I see grate tabs on the inside of the bowl, instead of the lip that the cooking grate rests on.
@Craig - we spoke about this at last year's meetup... I can't recall what year that would make it... do you?
@Bob BQ. B-codes were the last year with the tabs in the bowl.
