Frame is solid and SS is clean as a whistle. Only a couple minor issues a little rim rash. The color blue is gorgeous Psyched!

I have a DA code Blue SSP that is my main grill. I love it. Gets used at least twice a week. I need to pull it off the line for a deep cleaning and fix up. Since my Weberitis has flared recently, I have a few other grills that could relieve Old Blue for some R&R.

Post some pics when you get it cleaned up. Love to see the process.

Love the blue!!!
Here's some pictures of the current "before clean-up" condition. I'm always amazed and probably find most gratifying how nicely a little elbow grease and the right tools can make them clean up.

Are any tools required to install the newer Weber 65143 Ash Catcher Assy for 2015 22.5" One Touch Grills and would I have to remove the ash sweeps to install it or would the ash sweep handle slip right through the ash catcher ring without having to take it out?

The ring will slip over the ash sweep handle and install without any special tools. Just unclip the old one and clip the new one in its place.
Looks like you need a new burner tube, though.

I just installed a new one on my EE 1999 black SSP. Took a whole 10 minutes.... Now... My EE Code Red Head will take a bit more TLC to get the tube assembly off. Its rusted in place. Need to brake out the grinder to take the screw heads off... :O The new style ash catcher may need some finagling too.. Good luck and Nice find!!

I was looking at the lid when I was home this morning. The paint looks like it's metallic blue. It's absolutely gorgeous. My pick up truck is in the shop so it's killing me because I could have been working on it at the dock today but it's stuck at the house. Driving me nuts.
Finally got to give her a nice cleaning. Gas assist works with a match.

Debating buying new 8 inch wheels as the white insert is Grey and crumbling. Also needs two new casters.

Might was well replace all 4 at the same time. Your gonna end up wondering why you didn't if you dont. It's a good looking grill...'cept the wheels. Lol
Great looking grill. Blue SS performer is the grill that made me want/need a performer.
As for your wheels. You can always go with a set of Uncle Al's whitewalls (http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/member-sales-trades/fs-acrylic-whitewalls-for-mt-and-replacements/).
Looking grate!!!!! I need to get a few sets on Uncle Al's inserts too.
That looks great, Cap. What a pretty blue.

If you don't mind me asking... how much did that one go for? Am going to go look at a black ssp tomorrow in good shape.

@musiceman the pricing really is subjective and the SSP you are looking at tomorrow is worth what your willing to pay. For example I picked up what I'd call nearly pristine red mist SSP a month ago. The CL price was $45. The couple was older and making space on their deck. I probably could have offered $25 or $30 and got it but once I saw the condition I would have paid much more. Look with the price cap in mind and start with a reasonable offer. Ask yourself how bad do I really want this one? If they come up often in your area then wait for another.

Roger. I am paying a bit more than that, but it looked pristine and well... I got a otg for free and a 18" wsm for 22.50, so I can't complain.

Sounds like your on a roll! Not sure of your location but is it in Michigan? I saw one posted up north that looks really nice.

@Uncle Al can more than likely hook you up with a nice set of white walls...
I'm going to wait for spring and then get a set of whitewalls from @UncleAl
She really is beautiful. I can't believe how pretty she is in person. Pictures don't capture the metallic like properties of the blue paint. It's like a cobalt blue.
