Found this on OfferUp. Saw the ad & knew I had to grab it. Remembered a thread about the limited quantities of Green MBH 22"s, so I figured 18"s were few & far between as well. Woulda paid asking price, but luckily the seller agreed to less. Had been in her family a long time, & she was excited to find that out I'd be restoring it.

The triangle took a lot of abuse (appears to have been attacked by IceMelt & a snow shovel) & wasn't worth salvaging. Front leg stuck in socket with two broken welds. Wanted to keep last weld intact, so I cut leg off & used a die grinder to help remove rest. One bowl damper missing & had rust damage in its place. One chip next to lid damper & the handle was rotten.

Did the standard cleaning on the bowl & lid. Masked off the chip on the lid & touched up. Drilled broken welds on front socket & riveted. Went through my parts stash & came up with nice set of legs & bowl damper (not a matching "B" atm). Grabbed the triangle off a donor kettle. Polished legs, triangle, & ash pan. Used up my last set of new wheels.

Brought it down to the meet-up to add a period correct looking @zavod44 handle.
Gotta thank @einrej for naming it. Too small to be the Green Giant, so Sprout fit perfectly.

It is a really nice grill, even though it's in "Packer" colors

Love that green. It was great to see it in person over the weekend. Sprout and the baby blues on display were the first time I saw a green MBH and a baby blue in person. Nice work!
Beauty find and restore. Handle tex's it up perfect.
Nice find!
Great job on the clean up too
This was the kettle at the meet up, right? Beautiful.
Wow. Great restoration. It gives me hope as I may have an 18" coming that has similar issues.

Whoa!!! I prefer Tramp, Tramp, Tramp. Yes 18 is little if your a walrus or a horse. Otherwise it's pretty impressive.

Yes sir. Wasn't planning on taking it originally, until I thought why not have the handle installed at the Mecca for handles.

Great find! 18" are harder to come by than 22" in same color. Beautiful restore and clean up job! Much better than what I can do. I can not even put the triangle right side up (referring to my 18" Cado clean up). :)
Love your 22" Cado and 18" Red too.
What a great cleanUP on a fantastic vintage 18"r. Love that deeper Green color. Congrat's.

I hadn't seen an 18 in that color prior to the meet... very glad you brought it.
Green...with envy. Good job on the clean up.
