I started out with 2 Weber gas grill carts, I have 2 WSM.

The carts are 16 inches deep and my smoker is 18.5.
(http://i1330.photobucket.com/albums/w565/einrej/07-10-16%20Smoker%20cart%20build/DSCN6506sml_zpskfhdlog9.jpg) (http://s1330.photobucket.com/user/einrej/media/07-10-16%20Smoker%20cart%20build/DSCN6506sml_zpskfhdlog9.jpg.html)
I made a 20x20 inch frame and cut the center section out of the cart.
(http://i1330.photobucket.com/albums/w565/einrej/07-10-16%20Smoker%20cart%20build/DSCN6412sml_zps5xqwskbc.jpg) (http://s1330.photobucket.com/user/einrej/media/07-10-16%20Smoker%20cart%20build/DSCN6412sml_zps5xqwskbc.jpg.html)
To put the smoker in I would have to lift it up high and lower it in. Didn't like that so I cut out the front bar of the frame.

Added handles and another grate to the smoker.

Excellent, practical build. Well done!
Dude! Nice work. That looks really useful and looks great too. bravo
Super Nice
A solution like this would be fantastic for a competition team.
I would like to use a old genius cart for my WSM cart like this but add a side burner to it to light my chimney and to heat veggies etc. I saw it done on TVWBB. Very nice.

I've been waiting to get a side burner. I was going to put it on the side were the wood handle is but since have changed my mind. If I had one I would put it in the flip out table, out of the way when not in use. Your cart won't need as much parking space. Keep in mind you would have heat and fire next to your LP tank. Something to think about.

Excellent cart,
@einrej ! Do you have the WSM secured to the cart, or does it just rest on it?
Point taken on the heat source and tank in close quarters. But I was just thinking and scetching a design for a fold down side burner and now I will look into a tank mount on the flip up table side.
Thanks.

The WSM sits on the cart just like it would in the drive way, no problem. When I move it I usually put my hand on the top but you don't have to. Base is wider then if you put wheels on the WSM. I like having all my tools hanging on the cart in EZ reach. Works as good as it looks and I'm glad I made it.
