Title: Tomahawk Steak
Post by: Thomas Andrews on June 22, 2016, 12:04:16 PM
Had a go at a tomahawk Steak tonight.

I followed Macolm Reid's recipe from YouTube for it.

After coating it in steak seasoning, I cooked it for an hour at 250f for an internal temp of 118f.

I then took it off and reverse seared it on my gasser

I'd have it again tomorrow!

Nicely done.  Reverse searing is the way to go in my book!

Malcom Reed is a good guy! Aint' no secrets. His rubs/recipes are bit to salty for my taste, but his temps suggestions are always right on the money ! I always suggest to search for him to friends and family just getting started  BBQ ing. Looks great!!
