A variety of three woods ....
Sugar maple for the lid bale rollers.

The lid bale rollers were made by a local wood-turner.
I have had them on for close to a year, and showing no signs of wear.
Of course, the vent tab and handle were crafted by WKC's resident handle expert,
@zavod44 . Always outstanding work, Brian! Thank you.
And, the table ... Well, I made it (believe it or not). I got plenty of inspiration from this forum. In particular, THIS (http://weberkettleclub.com/blog/2014/03/12/weber-crate-barrel-performer-wooden-table-mod/) one by
@glrasmussen .
The wood was from a tree that my Dad had felled many years ago. He brought a bunch of the longer pieces to a sawyer to have boards cut.
My Dad no longer does any woodworking, as he will be turning 80 later this year. I ended up getting a bunch of his tools. The right tools for the job. ;)
This project did not cost much, other than buying more glue, and spar urethane to finish. I don't charge myself labour.
Great job
@MacEggs . The table turned out great.
Bad Ass !

That black walnut table is sweet!
I really need one of those lid vent tabs for my original kettle premium. Do you remember how much Zavod44 charged for that?
I'm really liking the wood mods to the performers. Mac, you did a great job on that table. Really nice bro

That is beautiful! Fantastic job

That is one outstanding Performer. They are all beautiful, especially your own custom made table. If I had that table, I 'd be afraid to put anything on it. Matter of fact, if I had that performer- I would just use it as a display.
It's a showpiece.
Wow, that that table is beautiful.

Beautiful, MacEggs! Question: how do you keep the wood bale lid holder from burning/scaring from heat from lid? Thanks!

Thanks for looking, everyone, and thanks for the compliments! It's been a busy spring / early summer making tables. 8) :D

@edhodges , thank you, and welcome to the club! I have had no issues with the wooden lid bale rollers.
They are good and strong being made from sugar maple. There is also a SS washer between it and the bowl.
Last year I tried an experiment with 2 fully loaded charcoal baskets right near the rollers.
The Performer has been getting heavy use since I acquired it nearly a year ago, and they have held up fine.

I love that color performer. One just like it (minus the wood) came up on CL a couple days ago around here for $120. I texted the number but never got a reply.
That's an heirloom, beautiful work!!
