My days off are not always on the weekend so I decided to cook my burgers on my day off today. I cooked a southwest style cheese stuffed burger and a spicy mushroom Swiss burger. The southwest burger was 3/4lb 80/20. It had red and green salsas mixed into the meat. I also grated some pepper jack cheese and stuffed the burger by making two patties from the 3/4lb and placing the cheese in the middle and sealing off the edges. The mushroom Swiss burger was also 3/4lb. This one had hot sauce mixed with dried basil. I know it sounds weird by it works! Sautéed mushrooms with fresh garlic, butter and some cayenne powder. Cooked them on my waffle grill grate to get a nice crust on both sides. When almost done I tossed on more grated pepper jack cheese on the southwest burger. I then took some of the mushroom mixture and placed it on the other followed by two pieces of Swiss cheese. Waited till the cheese was melted and then plated them. Note the cheese filling turned out great. The mushroom Swiss burger turned out great also. Enjoy the pics!.......

Those burgers look stunning, Dave!
Excellent entry, those buns look amazing......
Well done and look great. I like the idea of the salsa mixed in.
Holy cow! Those look amazing and cooked to perfection Dave! Are those jalapeño's on the bun of the Southwest burger! That's my kind of heartburn right there!!

Can I have half of each, you know research.
Burgers look fantastic. May have to steal your idea putting salsa actually in with the meat.
