I was picking up a black 18" 'C' code kettle and next door was a house with sold sign in front of it and a intact Red Genesis sitting on the curb. The metal looked really good. The wood was intact but very weathered. Tables on both sides. If I had a truck instead of a car (and was single) I would have grabbed it. It was the same style as this one I found online. It was next door to 5302 Burnett Dr Madison WI

You should have figured out a way to make it fit. Wedge it into the trunk or something.
Yeah I got a 2001 Silver 'B' last year for free. It looked rough, but I completely took it apart and got it all in my trunk, minus the squirrel nest. Cleaned up, painted and with a new S.S. flavorizer bars and grates, plus a new igniter it works great.
As for the 18" kettle the lady was giving away when I got there it was about a half hour after she posted. I saw it at 7 minutes. She was telling me that she had like 10 calls about it. I just wanted the ash pan for an 18" yellow I am going to restore. It's a folded edge not like the original, but better than nothing.
I love the classic red Weber gasser.
nnooooo
someone get it
