Title: kbb at Home Depot
Post by: Big Dave on May 03, 2016, 05:18:09 AM
I usually try to stock for the year before Memorial Day and 4th, when retailers put the 18.6 double bags on sale.  Noticed yesterday our local Home Depot already had them out at a price of $19.97.  Last year I picked them up for $14.97.  Wonder if they will reduce this year just before holiday or is it $19.97 this year?

I thought $20 for the double bags was normal, year-round price ... pretty sure we were seeing $10 double bags last year on sale. Look for that later this month I think.

Yeah, they did the double bags for $10 about a month ago.  I'm sure they'll do it again this spring/summer.  If you need charcoal, I'd just buy what you need, then wait for the sale and load up.  But no need to load up at 2 for $20...that's the standard going rate.

Thanks!  I'll wait for the sale.  I have about 8 bags left.  I usually try to fill the outbuilding with 35-40 when sale time comes.
