Title: Kold Kall Koocker
Post by: firedude5015 on April 16, 2016, 12:10:32 PM
Yeah...had to lol
Girlfriend saw this under a carport on her way to work and drove me by to look.
Nobody home so I went back this morning and knocked, told the gentleman I saw it from the road and would like to possibly aquire it.
$20 and a handshake and i was bringing it home. Crooked K, decent fade in proper light, and ROUGH.
but hell $20..couldn't say no.

Grate pick up.  Looks like there may be some good selection by you after all.

Btw, think your spell-check is acting up

Nice cooker.    Though I'm more impressed that you have a GF who not only spots grills, but takes you back to them for you to get a good look.   Regardless of what happens with the grill, the GF is a keeper   ;D

It best when "they" find them!

Anything of color is extremely rare down here so I had to scoop it up.
Gentleman said he found it alongside the road in  front of his house 3 years ago, that explains the chips in the porcelain a little.
The chips in the bowl line up with the grate straps but..the straps are in great shape. ...hmmmn

Finished restoration.
High heat red paint on the dings, OTG ash catcher, and some Zavod handles.
Love this Crooked K code.

Nice work on the cleanup. From the pictures you can barely see the paint touch up.

gotta give a shout out to @brewtownbeatdown for the paint idea. Thanks again, the spots still show, but not as noticeable as no paint would be

I'm curious to see how it looks after a few cooks.  What brand/color did you go with?

So, has anyone seen a K code that isn't red? seems like every one I've seen on here is red. maybe I overlooked a couple.

Thanks for the idea on the paint, wouldn't have looked near as good without that tip.

The red triangle looks awesome.  Great idea.  I may borrow your idea as I have to paint a triangle on a MBH redhead I am restoring. Thanks for sharing.

I borrowed that idea from someone here. Can't recall who, but it does make it look cool
