Title: Weber Retainer Clip Substitute - Is this a bad idea?
Post by: tb80 on April 14, 2016, 05:47:20 PM
I lost the retaining clip for the gas assist system on my performer. It was hard for me to justify the $10 cost for a replacement.   I found this clip at a hardware store:

I tried pulling the hose back out and it didn't move. Any reason why this won't work or is too dangerous? I don't want to play around with propane.
