Title: Weber Q grill cleaning
Post by: power on April 03, 2016, 11:00:57 PM
Hi, had our Weber Q for allmost 4 years now! I give it a scrape out and wire brush the grill plates, use a small screw driver for the hard to get to spots in the grill bars! But the 2 grills are looking very thick in some parts! Can i wash these in a chemical or not?
They still work fine but the look!
Cheers

Never use chemicals, bad in so many ways.

You can wash the grill plates in the sink if really junked up. I use a little hot water and a wire brush. Easy!
For next level of cleaning What is good? I used a green, scrubby and with little effort got the bottom really nice, but rubbed a little finish off the top. Even being careful with the water it took awhile for the water to  cook out of the burner.
