I heard that George Stephens only made two red ranch kettles. I know there is an old newpaper article with a guy that uses a red ranch for catering, and Brian has one that looks red. There was one that had a Budweiser logo, but it was only a red lid.
What can your collective memories recall about the elusive red ranch kettle?

What you said is all that I know Ed.

He is always asking for pictures. :) Has anyone seen one of his?
ok Ed, I have seen that one. I never considered it red.
I believe Brians was an original red. I think weber made a few. Why wouldn't they? It was obviously Georges favorite kettle color.
Interesting then that the caterer's appears to have wood handles but Brians does not. (I understand they could be aftermarket - after all the guys does not have wheels either.
Anyone save a picture of the red Budweiser ranch kettle lid?
I wish I did. I thought it was odd that only the lid was red, and the bowl was still black. I emailed that seller about that grill twice, but never got a response.

It's a mid to late 90's Ford.

Looks like early to mid 90 on the ford, unless it is f250 or 350, they kept the style a year or so longer.
And looks like black handle, the metal part

Agreed on the Ford. That's the Pic of the one in St. Louis...How long where the Flat Top Handles made? My EZ SS has the flat like the above.
At the Schaumberg Weber Grill, one of the murals had this shot. Looks a little colorized to me, but could have been an early red ranch or two there. The sides of these look like they may have been add-on rings of some kind - is that a rotisserie motor on the one up front?

Those were black. They added the color for the mural.
That red Budweiser ranch would compliment my red Budweiser Smokey Joe. ;)
My ranch at one point in time was for sure red. I believe what has happened to it, was people had sanded and painted it many times over many years. When Stu did the original work to it he stripped off all the stuff people had done. There are very small areas of bright red enamel. I'll get a picture....
here is a picture of the little bit of red enamel left form the original...

Brian, does the bowl have red enamel spots like the lid?
Also, the Budweiser lid has black handles brackets. I think if they were painting a lid, it would all be the same color. The handles brackets should red not black.
And thus the Allure of the Weber.. Its life and history shrouded in Mystery. Ya gotta love it! 8)
No Brian, I haven't been smoking anything funny today!

Holy crap. I never would have guessed it had been red until seeing your picture.
Anyone got any other photos? All the old links don't seem to work.
Couldn't see the pictures.

10 year old threads? Them pics are gone!!
I was offered the opportunity to buy a red Budweiser Ranch from a guy in the St Louis area. At the time we tried to find reasonable shipping rates to Seattleland and $650+ was a deal killer. But it was a Red Ranch and he got it from a guy that worked for Anheiser-Busch
