I just picked up a Blue SS performer on craigslist for cheap... I paid $20 cash and traded a few hand tools I had multiples of.... The cover is completely tattered and does not fit. Do the current performer covers fit the old SS performers? I think the old ones are a little longer... If not can you buy covers to fit the SS models? Thanks.

you need an 8701 model cover. They can be had from Ebay, Amazon, or usually calling Weber directly.
The new performer weber covers will not work....they width is too short.
The above part number is correct
Now that you're "covered"... Lucky bastard. Haha

I traded him a hand tiller I bought for 50 cents at a garage sale and 2 shovels and a metal rake I bought in a big $10 lot at an estate sale....
I have less the $30.50 invested into it!
Nice score, did you get the 5# propane bottle too?

I did grab the tank. he was trying to sell it separately and I told him it belonged to the grill and he threw it in.

I use a Weber Genesis cover I bought at the swap meet for 10.00. It's a little big but who cares. BTW, The full length cover for the Weber Q fits a 22" Kettle perfect. It's a great cover.

This is the ticket. Look for some of these other covers on sale and repurpose them for what you have. I have found the gasser covers for 50-52" wide grills fit my performer fine.
