Title: First Cook With The Slow N Sear
Post by: JDLones on September 11, 2015, 07:53:36 PM
I had some KC spare ribs that I was planning on cooking and FedEx was nice enough to deliver my new toy, er accessory yesterday. Perfect timing. I followed the instructions to bring it up to 225 and it worked just as advertised. I put the ribs on. (http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/09/11/c42f0915d9701a0bef372e8f748cd750.jpg)

The temp was nice and steady for five hours. Between 220 and 235 with barely any adjustments. I turned after about 2.5 hours. I let them roll on until five hours had passed. I judged them to be done. (http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/09/11/515468428e8414edc01579c7d9cb5d54.jpg)

They turned out perfectly. Some of the best I've made. So far I'm sold on this little accessory. I look forward to many more cooks with it.

I think they were perfectly cooked if I do say so myself.

And the plate...

Thanks for looking.

@WNC  It's another utility device to assist in L&S cooking on a Weber kettle.  There's a thread on one of the other Forums (search SnS).

Here is a link to their website:    "http://www.abcbarbecue.com/#!products/cab8"                        SJ

@madbbq Yes, sir. It's a 22.5" OTG.

@LightningBoldtz I've used it twice now and I think I'm hooked.
