Great little project, I'm so excited I feel like I got my own little performer! I saw the one
@Hogsy posted and thought I can do that. Great thing was I had all the stuff on hand so it didn't cost me a thing.
I'll try and post some more pictures later of the under side. Until then I'm gonna sit back enjoy a drink, admire my kettles, wait til the wife gets hungry and grill up some beautiful t-bones waiting in the fridge.
Very nice. I love and plan to build one this week. Did you use pine and stain it? Also what did you used to "brace" the legs?

That looks great.... The dark timber with the red kettle looks the goods
Good job
I think it was pine, but I'm not sure, it was just left overs down in the basement. I did stain it though. The brace is like the one in hogsy's picture, it's a "hook and eye" latch. That was the one piece I did have to buy, it was $4 at lowes.
Thanks guys!
Yeah I love the dark with the red too, it the same stain I used on the handles.
really nice work!!!
Looks great!
Excellent job WNC - love the dark stain with the red! Looks real sharp!
