Title: Birth-year Kettles
Post by: MartyG on July 17, 2015, 06:27:24 AM
This will be the place to show off your birth-year kettle - with you in the shot! The kettle does not have to be yours, but you have to show up with the kettle in the photo. I suppose photoshop is OK for those born in '52, and of course those born before '52 are left hanging, but let's see how many birth-year photos we can post. My own is in the works, and I may be able to pull off a three generation shot with my son and granddaughter. These two NIB kettles ('81 and '14) are heading to San Francisco so he can capture his part.

Was just thinking about this yesterday. Anyone know if there were blues made in 81'? If so, grail hunt is on.

This is probably as close as I'll ever get to having a birth-year kettle...

I'll get one posted with my ugly mug next to it but I'm as old as the one on the right (1978  ) and my wife is the age of the one on the left (1976)

If I had known about this thread I would have found a 1973 yesterday and taken a pic by it.

Between the heat and the storm, a few announcements were not made. Would love to have done a group shot too, but I was busy keeping my camera dry. There's always next time! I did however, manage to capture mine: Brian's spectacular '56 custom.
