Post by: toolhead on June 28, 2015, 09:36:57 AM
Im in the process of cleaning twist on ash pan...soaked in detergent and barkeepers friend...not making much progress.

Should i just use 220 grit sandpaper and then steelwool to finish?

If you're trying to de corrode it you may want to start with CLR. It does a good job of loosening the ash deposits: http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/weber-kettles-accessories/i-was-challenged/
