Hello to all, new to forum.

There was some discussion on the change in the one touch system quite some time ago, so I started new topic. I've got a Performer that I've had since just prior to 2000. Date code is no help as I moved in 12/99 and kettle lid was damaged and replaced with date code DD. I'm in search of the ASH CATCHER SUPPORT BAR for the model 801001. Obviously, Weber doesn't have anything and Weber CS suggested to my local dealer they sell me a new grill. Grill is still in great condition, I don't need to replace.

Any help in sourcing or fixing greatly appreciated.

A member sells aluminum ones...

You can also get aluminum stock flat bars from hdepot and fab your own...if you stillnhave yours in one piece..its probably doable..

They sellnmatching width aluminum ..just ha e to bend..shoae and cut the outline tabs at each end
