Title: Brian's wood handles, quick question.
Post by: ac921ol on March 21, 2015, 07:04:16 AM
I feel like I read that they don't fit the new kettles, this could be me, reading things wrong in the middle of the night, but I just picked up an AU (2012) edition kettle and I hope they fit, so please tell me they do.

Order the normal 1 screw model and you're golden. Old kettles that had wood handles held on by 2 rivets obviously wouldn't be what you want.

OTOH if you do have 2-rivet handles, Brian still has Zavandles for you but remind him that you need 2-rivet handles 8)

For an AU code, you might want to do a mod on the bowl straps for a single-screw handle.
Otherwise, there is the potential for the outer part to "helicopter" and ultimately damage the wood over time.  Your call.

I did THIS (http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/weber-kettles-accessories/handles-was-not-aware-of-this/msg102732/#msg102732) to help prevent that.
