Title: Upfitting Performer Gold to Gas Assist??

Newb here!! I recently landed a great deal on a new Gold Performer, but really want the Gas Assist. i'm sure this has probably been discussed many times. I'm interested in adding the Gas Assist on the Platinum to my Gold Performer. Can anyone advise me on whether this is possible or direct me to a previous discussion? Thanks!

It's been done. Use some blue tape on bowl to keep finish from flaking. I personally use starter cubes on all my kettles..even the gas assist ones. Personal choice I guess

Thank you for the replies!!! It looks to be out of the realm of possibility mostly because of cost and to a lesser degree my mechanical aptitude!
