I'm not sure what these are. Maybe I'm missing something....are these worth $75?

They help reduce flare ups and probably make some nice grill marks, but I would rather have a nice setof Craycorts for the money. 8)
I was trying to think if there was something this would be good for? I have a bunch of different grates I use for different things, is there anything this would be useful for? I just don't understand what it is,and why it is so much?
Brian
They're designed to put really snazzy sear marks on steaks 'n' chops 'n' such....
When I've seen pix of them used, they work real well for that......
Not the biggest deal for me, but some folks want the visuals & this is the best thing I've seen to get there

These are from Swamps Facebook page. They do nice grillmarks but I just can't justify the price. A Lodge Doubleplay will make sweet grillmarks for a fraction of the cost. Just set it on your old weber grate.
Here they were for $34! http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=grillgrates%20with%20the%20grate%20tool%20deal%20of%20the%20day%20%7C%20groupon&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&ved=0CD4QFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.groupon.com%2Fdeals%2Fdc-j41-gg-grillgrates-grate-tool&ei=g-fXUJDaCqO1igLF2IDACg&usg=AFQjCNGUVal2Ies64epBYIEqjuO_PSHp1w
I would totally pay that for a set. :o I need to keep watching.
What does it do that the regular Weber grate doesn't?
Brian
I think it just mainly gives grill marks, but I think it will also last longer because it won't rust. Although it needs to sit on top of a regular grate.
Supposedly the little troughs catch your drippings and then vaporize, adding flavor back to the meat..Supposedly.. 8)
