I just returned from a great visit Down Under. Just wanted to say thanks to JC and Kendoll. We met up for a few beers and some kangaroo pizza and had a really fun time talking about grills. The guys brought me a Weber Aussie cookbook that is AWESOME! And it is autographed by JoCool himself! I'll enjoy cooking some of the recipes for years to come.
Sadly, I couldn't work in a visit with Hogsy and Golly - my apologies, guys. My sis-in-law had our schedule packed with outings, and I just couldn't make it happen.
Sydney is a lot of fun - I recommend all of you make it down there. Thanks again for the local hospitality, JC and Kendoll!! I look forward to hosting you guys in Atlanta some day!
I bet it was a blast :)
That is a bucket list trip. Very cool to see such a long distance WKC meetup!
Winz
UNCLE JJ DID YOU DRINK (VB) VICTORIA BITTER .. OR TOOEYS WHILE YOU WERE THERE
You are very welcome mate. It was great to meet you and your family. Had a great time talking Weber with a like minded individual. :)
Just might take you up on that offer!

Oh man, VB and Tooeys - now that's top shelf drink right there ;)
Welcome back JJ!!
If he was with Kendoll the pub wouldn't of sold VB(catpiss)
Mate it was good to catch up. At least now your family knows you're not alone with your new obsession. Really enjoyed the night and the longest distance WKC meetup. BTW Kendoll & I would never let a grillfella drink VB. Little creatures all the way.
Thanks UncleJJ for letting us know you were heading down. If I head over there you'll definitely be getting a call.
Thanks, guys! I believe I was enjoying a Cooper's Pale Ale, although I must say I partook of several fine Aussie beers. And, of course, the Shiraz and Sauv Blanc - damn fine drinkin' going on in Oz!
Now, if I could just stop waking up at 1am every morning.
BTW, I'm having a fine conversation with JC and Kendoll, and they start talking about Harris' collection. They tell me he's in GA, which I somehow did not know. So, I'm feeling like a real dumbass, as I, too, live in GA. And all this time, I'm posting idiotic comments on how GA is a Weber wasteland. Meanwhile, Harris continues to monopolize the GA Weber scene, as I travel to the other side of the planet to source product!
My idiocy never ceases to amaze me. Harris - let's catch up sometime!
lol I knew you guys were critical of other area beers /// I spent a week in Sydney a few years back /// drank at the observer hotel down on the rocks /// I would love to visit again
