picked up a DE performer yesterday. the ignitor isn't working. the gas flows and can be lit via long stem lighter in the bowl, so I know the tube isn't clogged. but nothing happens when I push the button. since there are differences between certain years, I just wanted to see if anyone knew for sure if this was the right part for a DE code performer.

yep that's the one that is compatible with the 2005 and 2010 performer models. Good luck!
That would definitely work, but before you go and spend $20, try taking the igniter apart and cleaning it with a piece of emery paper. Especially the ground wire. I have found that is all it usually takes..
Beware of the small screw and don't over tighten it as it will strip very easily..
FYI, the only difference is a shorter wire and maybe the color of the push button.
+1 to taking everything apart and carefully removing corrosion from all surfaces. That will usually get you up and running right quick.
thanks for the quick confirmation.
heyjude-i'll give that a try before ordering, thanks for the headsup.
definitely clean the actual ignition points on the part that mounts to the tube.
the piezo electric igniters are actually really dependable
Also the orifice on the brass bit of the hose inside the burner tube. Mine was partially blocked and it burned in the tube, not in the bowl. Clean out the tube too.

so as always, this forum helped me out.
i had issues with flame being uneven and only lighting manually, igniter was not working.
I cleaned the burner tube (inside and out). Inside had allot of old spider web egg gunk and outside had old grease. Then cleaned all igniter contacts....
VOILA!!!! starts on first igniter press and the flame is now split as its supposed to be.
