Title: Testing out a different pizza cooking method
Post by: Nate on October 11, 2014, 07:07:17 PM
I made an extension for my JJ while on vacation a couple weeks ago to make it a better smoker plus a dedicated pizza cooker. I'm just too cheap to buy the real deal kettle pizza.

Here's the first one I did on this contraption a week ago. Bottom of the crust was perfect but needed more heat on top. It was delicious nonetheless.

And here's tonight. I think I know what I need to do to modify my extension contraption to make it cook pizza the way i want it too.

Here's the temp I was running below the stone.

And above the stone

Good lookin' pie but I can see where you could have had the cheese singed up more before having to pull because the crust is done.  It's making my mouth water looking at your supper though.
