Title: Baby NY Strip & Grilled Zucchini/Eggplant /Tomatoes!
Post by: eccj on October 09, 2014, 10:17:12 PM
I was in the mood for steak & veggies so I stopped by the farmer's market and grabbed some zucchini & (2 eggplants that were on sale).

I sliced the veggies thick, brushed them with EVOO and sprinkled them with salt & pepper.

I turned them a couple of times, and they were done.

I wanted to get a good sear, so I heated up an additional half chimney of coals. When they were ready, I poured them in. Last weekend I acquired a heavy grill grate that will serve as my infra red grill grate. I only have $5.00 invested!

I added the half chimney of coals, and soon I had my steak going! I cooked it for 3 minutes on each side, brushed it in garlic infused olive oil for 1 min to brown it, and then I sealed my grill and went inside.
