What is a One Touch Premium?

I thought it was Silver/Gold/Master Touch in the 3 leg standing grill

Premium contains a lid therm, gold does not. The "new" MT will contain the lid bale and therm like the old version.

So, if I am understanding this correctly...........

The Gold has the hinged grate & removable ash container

The Premium adds a lid therm

Master Touch adds lid bale and gourmet grate

Correct?

If so, seems pretty silly to add a new model just for a lid thermometer.

Guess we are going global with the names as well as the bolt on handle.  I had noticed on the Weber UK site before that they call what is the Silver Kettle in the US the One-Touch Original and the Gold Kettle the One Touch Premium.  I think the addition of the push pins on the legs is going to be a big improvement but we will have to wait and see how they hold up.  The Gold models started adding lid thermometers a couple of years ago so I believe it is just a name change with the new 2015 models.

That is correct. My understanding is that most names are changing, performers and all, so the old OTG will now be a OTP

EDIT: OTP is already taken isn't it? Hmmm now what? :o :)
