sup gang!
sorry i've been absent. i've been working far too much.
i've met with my screenprinting business partner, as well as his illustrator.
There's a few more logo ideas in the works, but right now one of marty's is the primary contender.
The plan is to get the price of shirts at a level that's affordable.
We'll offer them for sale.
We can either sell them for the actual cost, or add a dollar to help cover the cost of this site.
If you're interested in a t-shirt, please share your interest here so I have an estimate on how many to make.
They'll be screenprinted by a high quality printer and on a high quality shirt.
Great work Troy
I'll take 2
Cheers
Joel
P.s I had a dream the other night i was wearing a Hawaiian style shirt but instead of palm trees , it had all the different styles of kettles scattered all over it
I was pulling chicks in those threads like I was 18 again
Nice to have you back workaholic! I'm in. I like the Multi Kettle Hogsey request. More spendy though...

I'm in for a pair too Troy, maybe more if the price is right. XXL Tall if they have 'em. XXL if they don't cater to those of us 6'3" and above. Thanks!
Marty
Troy
Ill be interested in one also. XL size. Were there going to be any color choices?
Thanks!
I'd be up for 1 or 2, will there be a long sleeve version?
Hey Troy, I will take a couple XXL as well.

I am also going with two, large usually does it for me unless they are the type that shrink to half the size. Which logo is the top contender right now?

2 large for the KG Clan! Thanks for the work on this!!
I'm in for two XXL
I can't wait for my wife to perve me in my WKC shirt ;) ;)
Hi Troy,
Thanks for all your work on this shirt project
You can count me in for 2 XXL
Paul
1 size 2XL.
Count me in! 8)
I'm in! Is there a pic of the final design?
An XL here please.
There's surely a thread, early in the plot, about this. I'm only new here ;D , so haven't seen it. As a base colour, a fat spatter proof one might be the go.
Just a thought.
I thought I had responded to this, but count me in for a 2XL when the final design is complete. ;)
There's a bit of delay on the logo.
Marty made several kickass logos, one of which I really like.
If this other designer doesn't convert his napkin drawing to a graphic soon I'll probably just go with the last iteration of Marty's.
Is there a pic of the napkin drawn design? I really like Marty's vent logo.
I'm interested. Size large. Please keep us posted on progress.
Price wise - round up a little to make a couple bucks for the site.

sadly, no.
I really like Marty's vent design - but as a logo, it just doesn't work for me.
We can always have the vent design made up as a t-shirt, but agree with Troy - it isn't the right logo for the club. maybe his printing buddy can work something out once we're settled on a final design for the club logo.
Marty
Please put two extra large shirts down for the Reilly ranch.

Marty
totally.
i think a shirt with the logo on the front pocket area, and the big vent design on the back would be badass.
Maybe this version?

I like it! Nice work Marty! :D
I was thinking....maybe this sounds silly but what about putting an "A" where a date code would be. Instead of meaning 1979, it could be the 'Clubs sign that WKC is the "A" place for Weber kettle knowledge and experiece. Or it could mean that WKC is where the A team of Weber collectors hang out. Just a thought, maybe not.... :-\

Or sideways "K"?
Greg
I think the "Bar-B-Q Kettle" mark goes back to mid 50's.

How about replacing the "Restore Reuse Respect" with "Weber Kettle Club" on top and then "Is the Weber Authority" on the bottom.
Or how about "Rescue Restore Reuse"
I like your saying Duke. It makes a bit more sense as to what we all actually do. just my opinion.
either way, it's pretty cool !!
Ken
I like Rescue - Restore - Reuse too. I'll mock it up tonight. Hope to have a meeting of the minds this weekend, then GO!
Hey are these shirt only gonna be made in white...or are other colors gonna be available? Regardless...I do like the design. I like "Rescue, Restore, Reuse" myself (as opposed to Respect)
I think I'd prefer a black tee with white lettering...not so much the white tee...hell even a red tee with white lettering.
Here's the latest version. Will look into how many color variations are practical once a printer is brought into the conversation.

I say.... cut, print! That's a keeper! ;) I do agree about the shirt colors... black, red, blue....yellow.....any of the kettle colors would be friggin awesome! :D Awesome work on that Marty!
Nice job, really nice job.
That's the one......I'd love a two tone brown shirt ;D
Minor tweak - the hyphen at the left after Rescue was misplaced. It was bugging me like an offset leg on a Kettle.

Thanks Marty, for putting all the effort into this Logo. I have printed it off, to see about some options.
I know Troy had said earlier he had an partner in this business. I have a some connections also. I was thinking it might be able to be printed in Dye Sublimation Ink.(Basically Iron on) Not much space for inventory needed. Inventory cost would be lower and it would be available to new members as they join. Size ranges of shirt or style are countless then. But the logo stays with this sight. Put some mark-up for sight maintenance, plus possibly have it printed in a smaller version for a pocket logo(would work on a hat). Not trying to step on anybodies toes here, if I am let me know.
Greg
I'm all for iron on too - I need tall-sized shirts, and they are often hard to come by. Keep in mind there will be another logo for the club that is better suited for the front pocket etc. Stay tuned for more on that. I have a few more ideas for "fun" logos that would be nice to add to the mix, but we're trying to get past this first step first. Your help, ideas, connections etc. are more than welcome, and I can provide hi-res art for this or any future stuff I come up with. I'm as interested as you (and everyone else) in moving forward with this. We'll know more after the Chicago meet this weekend.
Marty
If you're gauging interest definitely put me in the iron on camp. Would live to be able to put that logo in a shirt I had picked out. Thanks for all the work.
looks GREAT Marty !!!!!! Thanks for all your work !!
Ken
We were getting some logos done where I work and like I told them, caps are great, you can wear them every day if you want. That daisy wheel would look sweet on a cap, then when I prowl the flea markets maybe someone would spot it and tell me about the old Flattop Weber they've got in their barn :)
Aaaawesome job Marty....Its sweet.....I want one......

Why not make it more obvious what you're after?

Grillfellas, that old grill in your yard is being watched. 8)
So the Chicago Mob has spoken. The BACK of the Club t-shirt will include this emblem. No more changes, inputs, cash under the table or petty gripes. (Well, maybe a little cash...) Working on the front now.

Very cool. I would be in for an XL shirt. Black or Red only.
When can I order one? Spring is coming and I need to be dressed properly when the hardcore grilling season starts.
I think we are ready for printing. I think if we were to make a couple different shirt colors and logo colors available it would give some nice options. Red shirt/white logo white shirt/avacado logo white shirt/red logo etc. C'mon summers coming! 8)
Just a bump on this one to check status. I'm ready to place a few orders. Wondering if we decided on colors and a final design.

I know you're still looking into colors, but I think red, black, gray, brown, yellow, avocado, and powder blue are pretty much given, right?

bump :)
for the shirt color?
Copper?

I think he meant for the logo. I am pretty sure the black and white shirts will be the only choices for now. I can't wait to see that cool looking logo on a shirt! :)
I was planning black shirts. White print. Red grill. Shirt colors are easy to vary. But print colors are not. The above configuration would be 3 screens for the screen printer.
