Man, that was some food coma. It's the 14th already.
Awesome turnout. I have gone through the thread like 4 times, admiring all the cooks. It is great to see the possibilities of a kettle. Now I have so many ideas and new things I want to cook. Thank you.
Thanks for setting this up 604. It was a fun day and great to see all the different cook ups. Gave me a lot of ideas. 8) btw, I'm still recovering, especially since I had that big cook event last weekend.

Congrats Coldkettle!
Wow! That's awesome! Thanks again to everyone who posted through out the day! My wife shakes her head at me for the amount of time I spend in front of the grills, and taking part on a online cook. But she heads up to the store to help get groceries and helps prep food! It is pure enjoyment viewing this site and taking part in this event is the icing on the cake! Thanks again 604! You are a awesome host!
I love the smell of a evening cook...
Right on Coldkettle!
Matt - thank you for a wonderful event!

Congratulations Coldkettle.
Congratulations. Way to go Coldkettle. It was an amazing event. A lot of oooohs and ahhhhhs even though I read the thread twice. Thank you Matt.
Yup, if Coldkettle has an SWMBO I would predict some sort of blowback. Congratulations Coldkettle, you made good food. SixZeroFour - that was a awesome idea you had. Tossing in prizes was something over and above what could have been asked for or expected....bravo!!! Thank you.
Enjoy your new cooker, Coldkettle!
Tip'o'the hat to Greg, I guess?...
Big congrats to all the winners, and mad props to 604.
Sunday dinner in my house is almost always on the grill. It was fun sharing, and very entertaining peeking around.
Best wishes!!
Thank you Matt for all your hard work.
Congrats Coldkettle!
Which prize will you choose?
604 thanks for putting this event online and congrats on the win Coldkettle!!!
You can't get in trouble if the kettle is won as a prize! ... I read it in the rules somewhere ;)
Oh my wife will welcome another member to the family! I remember hearing her say something about shoes though...hmm..I must have lost it..
I love the smell of a evening cook...
OK, so what do you guys all figure is the best way to handle awarding prizes 2 and 3??
Should a few standouts be chosen then put it to a poll vote? or each person gets one vote and whoever has the most votes after 48 hours wins? or I can just pick winners and do them both today?
Advice appreciated :)
Prizes:
– NIB "Corona Extra" 18.5″ OTS kettle
– NIB Crimson Smokey Joe
"Prize #2 – Will be awarded to the best overall event and participation for the day – they then get choice of the two remaining prizes"
"Prize #3 – Remaining prize will be awarded to the best voted single dish cooked this Sunday. Shoot for creativity and take some sharp photos!"
I'd be fine with you picking, you thought up the day and it was a great success. If your set on a vote my only suggestion is that we all agree we can't vote for ourselves.
I am fine with you picking. :D
I think you would make a worthy judge!
I love the smell of a evening cook...
You pick
Your pick
Yep, this was your baby, and the birth was a happy and healthy one. You do the picking!
To quote that famous campaign slogan...
QuoteA chicken in every kettle and a Performer in every garage
Oh, wait, Webers weren't around in 1928
"Prize #2 – Will be awarded to the best overall event and participation for the day – they then get choice of the two remaining prizes"
You may have already got this one picked....criminy, the guy cooked breakfast TWICE & did eggs right on the GRATE both times !!!!
You can pick, that'll be fine.....draw from the hat a couple more times or pick out the cookups you liked.....don't think anyone would fault your judgments, and like everybody's saying, you set it up & made it happen...... ;D
Wow, I appreciate the vote of confidence gents! I'll have one final look through and winners will be announced later this evening! 8)

You earned it! A great event that was very well managed. I look forward to the next one!

congrats guys
Congrats to the winners and thanks to 604 for organizing! I enjoyed looking at everyone's cooks.
Congrats to everyone!
Great job everyone!
I am humbled to even be considered, but thanks man! That set up was harder than I thought, and I even forgot to bring home my good camera and had to use my wife's "toy" for those shots. Just shows what can be done with a little planning and the right light. This will be paid forward I can assure you.
Marty

what I may lack in skill, I make up for w/determination and imagination :) showed folks at work the "water shots" and I got responses that ranged from laughter to calling me stupid to asking me why. my response to each is that it was fun. I'd do it again.
Thanks everyone! It was a grate time. I'm always learning something.
And thank you 604 - I really enjoyed the event. And my family enjoyed the food.
Oh. I choose the Westerner!
:o
First, Thanks to 604 for putting this all together and even offering prizes!! Congrats to all the winners, there were some great cooks!!!
