Title: Blue Marlin Steaks
Post by: MacEggs on June 17, 2014, 09:03:56 AM
With the price of beef skyrocketing, I thought I would try something different.

Blue Marlin steak happened to be on for $9.99 / lb ...
That's a great price in these parts, and I don't live anywhere near the ocean.  ??? ???

WKC member, Lerxst, sent this stuff to me. It is very good.
Don't worry, dude, I will try it on some rib steaks very soon.  :D ;)

I very light coating of EVOO, then some seasoning, onto the grill with some locally grown asparagus.
I had them on for about 5-6 minutes per side. One was 8.25 oz, and the other was 13.8 oz.

It was a beautiful day, so I cracked open one beer ... one 64 oz growler of Mill St. IPA.

My wife whipped up a mango salsa to go with the fish.

This meal was delicious! A nice change of pace from what I usually crave when it comes to all things barbecue.  :D :D 8)

Very nice indeed.  I have to try the Blue Marlin.  Been eating a TON of asparagus lately - local and fresh.  (Austin Powers comes to mind)

I particularly like how that growler is starting to sweat - looks icy cold.  Awesome.
