Title: grilling on a salt plank?

I saw this deal in a recent ad flyer and it was a new concept to me.

anyone ever use a salt plank for grilling?

Saw them at Costco. Read some negative results on another forum.

Haven't used one but I want it. I can see some scallops and shrimp cooking up on one of those.

That is a great price. I have only seen those at local grill shop and they were $50 or 60 bucks. For $20 I'd just try it and if it sux chop it up and use it for a few years worth of table salt.
